PAYCE PROJECT NOMINATED FOR TOP DESIGN AWARD

PAYCE PROJECT NOMINATED FOR TOP DEVELOPMENT AWARD

Landmark PAYCE development East Village took out the prestigious 2015 NSW Urban Taskforce Development of the Year Award at the Excellence Awards held last night in Sydney.

PAYCE Chairman Brian Boyd said it was a huge thrill for the company to win the award.

"This is a wonderful recognition for everyone who worked on a project which we are very proud of," he said.

The judges noted that the Victoria Park project, which is just three kilometres from the CBD, was a standout winner.

"This meticulously planned project is the culmination of the vision of a carefully selected team that travelled the globe to gain inspiration from the world's most vibrant and exciting urban developments," Mr Boyd said.

The East Village concept - Brian Boyd.

"We think East Village is one of a kind, it was a great opportunity for us to develop the site and we are pleased with what has been achieved.

"This project fundamentally delivers not only on a vision for this site, but the broader Victoria Park precinct.

"It not just a development, with the site's great location and transport links we have created a modern, convenient and enjoyable lifestyle," he said.

The judges emphasised the benefits of East Village, being a truly unique offering of 206 low-rise apartments surrounding a private 6,500sqm Sky Park.

Residents also enjoy access to a globally inspired urban marketplace and eat street consisting of cafés, restaurants, fresh food and boutique stores, along with a Virgin Active gym, Audi Service centre, commercial office suites and Montessori Academy.

Dominic Sullivan accepts the award on behalf of PAYCE

After accepting the award last night, PAYCE General Manager Dominic Sullivan said the project team pivotal in delivering East Village included Turner Architects, Koichi Takada Interior Architects, Iconic Project Management and builder Dasco Australia.

"This world-class team has delivered more than bricks and mortar; they have delivered a thriving, living place catering for a rich diversity of people and retailers."

"This accolade acknowledges development projects that tick all the boxes, great residential living, but also a way of life with entertainment and services on the doorstep."

"We are also pleased to see that there is a great sense of community already developing at East Village.

"We always wanted to create a great village and thanks to the hard work and professionalism of so many people that's what we have achieved."

From Dominic Sullivan - at the Finish Line...

PAYCE General Manager, Dominic Sullivan said that it was fantastic to see nearly 6,100 starters turn up on the day given the atrocious weather during the week.

"The wonderful thing about this event is the fun atmosphere and the opportunity for family and friends, children and even toddlers to share the experience and support a good cause," he said.

"And what an exciting finish for the serious contenders, with the leaders neck and neck for much of the race and swapping positions all the way to the finishing line.

"Once again the event was extremely well organised from start to finish and everyone associated with the day are to be congratulated for their efforts," Mr Sullivan said.
